IPW 2026 is based at the Farmers Institute on Salt Spring Island, with additional events at venues across Salt Spring and the Southern Gulf Islands, and the Indigenous Art Show running concurrently at ArtSpring through July 3. Here is what you need to know to find us, get here, and rest your head.

The Salt Spring Island Farmers Institute is the main home base for IPW 2026. The grounds host the outdoor mainstage for music and dance, the Hall for displays and the silent auction, a side room for workshops, and the tipi for puppet shows, storytelling, and knowledge sharing. Many — but not all — weekend events take place here; other venues will be announced as they are confirmed.

ArtSpring hosts the Indigenous Art Show, which runs in the lobby and gallery from early June through July 3. The building is fully accessible.
Three ferry routes serve Salt Spring Island:
Reservations are strongly recommended in summer. Foot passengers usually do not need reservations.
BC Ferries scheduleSalt Spring is a small island, but it is bigger than it looks. From Fulford Harbour to Ganges (where ArtSpring is) is about 20 minutes by car.
BC Transit runs the Salt Spring Island bus, with limited service. Schedule at bctransit.com.

If cost is a barrier to attending IPW26 and you are Indigenous, please reach out. We have a small accessibility fund to help with travel and accommodation for Indigenous guests, and we will do our best to support you. No Indigenous person should miss the weekend because they cannot afford the ferry.
IPW 2026 takes place on Salt Spring Island, within the ancestral and unceded homelands of Hul’q’umi’num and SENĆOŦEN-speaking Coast Salish peoples, including Nations with deep cultural, historical, and ongoing relationships to these lands and waters.
